Flexible bearings with thin walls are mainly used for aerospace and military applications.  For many years, the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of these bearings could not be precisely tested as the thin walls are influenced by the measurement force during testing.  LYC technicians have developed measurement techniques using non-contact testing technology according to the principles of hydrostatics and hydrokinetics.  The inner and outer diameters of thin wall rings are accurately measured by observing the change in airflow by using compressed air as the medium.  LYC¨s measuring meter has been put into use testing ceramic bearing and other products with excellent results.
